Bald Eagle Lodge is a newly built, custom home designed from top-to-bottom to enable you to relax, refresh and reconnect with those you care about most.
The lodge is a one-of-a-kind newly built custom lodge on 12+ private Baldy Mountain acres with stunning views, wildlife, privacy and yet close to all the amenities of Sandpoint, ID. This getaway has been designed from top to bottom for families to reconnect with each other and enjoy the outdoors.
Enjoy 5 beds & 4 baths, a large fireplace, 48″ gas firepit, hot tub, family room theater (including plentiful games and ping pong table), horseshoe pits, sled course and more.
The lodge balances communal spaces to connect with each other with separate private spaces enabling quiet moments to unwind. Chat on the hearth and take in the crackle from the large fireplace. Marvel at the view and wildlife through the massive windows. Share a late-night conversation on the deck while taking in the breathtaking stars or northern lights. Relax in the hot tub while watching the sunset on the mountains. Curl up and watch a movie in the family room theater after a day of adventure. Stay cozy on a long winter night with radiant heated floors on the lower level and master bathroom.
If you are like us, eating amazing food together is an important part of getting away from the everyday! The well-appointed kitchen is designed to eat well, with low overhead. It includes an Italian made pro-style Bertazzoni 5 burner gas range, a large fridge, lots of tools (including cocktail tools), most spices you’d need, and two dishwashers so that you can get back to enjoying your family instead if picking up. The Weber gas BBQ grill on the deck (just off the dining room) makes for amazing summer evenings.
Nested on a 12-acre private estate, the lodge was designed to enjoy the beauty of it’s one-of-a-kind Baldy Mountain location including spectacular views of Lake Pend Oreille and mountain ranges beyond. Every window was strategically placed to bring the outside in- including maximizing the natural light year-round from the full southern exposure perch. Observe deer, moose, wild turkeys, coyotes, bear and bird such as hummingbirds, hawks and eagles. The beautifully landscaped yard includes a seven-person hot tub, a large gas fire put to roast smores on, horseshoe pits, a swing and plenty of room for yard games (provided). Enjoy a walk to through the mountain forest with glades of birch, lark, pine, cedar and fir. Fall colors are breathtaking. In Winter, the snow can get 2-5′ deep enabling wonderful snowshoeing (6+ pairs provided) and multiple slide courses ranging from 100’ to 1/2 mile+ long (several sleds provided).
We tried to take every detail into account when we designed, build and furnished this home to enable you to get out of the chaos of life and create moments together. We hope it also enables you to get away from the busyness of life, slow down a bit, rejuvenate your spirit and more than anything connects more deeply with those you love while enjoying the wonders of North Idaho nature.
The lodge is a private estate on a ~1/2-mile-long private road shared with one other home (further up the mountain) and a few undeveloped properties. Guests have access to the full home (aside from owner’s closet, pantry and storage rooms) as well as the acreage.
We are easily reachable if there are questions, you need recommendations or if any issues arise and we also have local team in place for onsite support if needed.
Private yet convenient – Bald Eagle Lodge is just 10 minutes from Downtown Sandpoint and 35 minutes from Schweitzer Mountain ski resort. Other nearby amenities include Pine Street Woods 180-acre multiuse trail system, several local disc golf courses (the closest one down the road) as well as the Sandpoint Outdoor Shooting Range (closed winter).
Drive times: To town is 10 minutes. To Dover Bay Resort is 16 minutes. To Schweitzer Mountain Resort is 25-35 minutes depending on snow conditions. The Idaho Club golf course is 24 minutes. Preist Lake via the back road 1h 15min

Cleaning: Please note that our cleaning team fully drains the hot tub between each stay and this service is included in the cleaning cost. Occasionally the hot tub may not be fully up to standard temperature at check in time if this was done on the check in day.
WINTER BOOKINGS: The lodge is amazing in the winter, and given the county and community road up to the house, winter guests must have 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles as well as be competent in driving in all weather conditions. While the roads and driveway are well maintained and plowed on a plow route, snowy and icy conditions may exist, and plow timing is based on weather and route length, so we recommend being prepared for all driving conditions. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow and ice, please do not book our property Dec-Early March or contact us prior to booking to discuss any questions.
